PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine coverage and identify coverage issues related to Commercial Property, Marine, and Heavy Equipment claims, applying a thorough understanding of applicable insurance policies and relevant coverage and loss types.
- Establish contact and maintain effective professional relationships with insured parties, agents, brokers, public adjusters, attorneys, and others involved in the claims process. Communicate via phone and/or face-to-face interactions as necessary to facilitate the prompt, accurate resolution of claims filed.
- Obtain and prepare the necessary documentation associated with the prompt, accurate, and thorough verification of losses and administration of claims. Follow established policies, procedures, and processes in preparing information, and submit reports and documents in a timely manner and in accordance with all standards and expectations.
- Ensure the accuracy of information collected and reported and guard against fraudulent claims.
- Review reports and make recommendations to clients based on the information provided.
- Conduct prompt, thorough investigations of claims as required and evaluate damages.
- Assess subrogation potential of losses and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Work closely with the AFG offices to prepare and complete all necessary paperwork.
Any 'Commercial Property' field experience is a plus
